What is Sportality?

We’re a Swedish digital sports services company working to support sport sproperties to strengthen their brand, create new income streams and build fan engagement. You can find out more about us and our history here.

What is Sportality Platform?

Its a web-based SaaS administration system built to understand sport, giving you all the tools you need to create and publish content and manage your online profile. Think of it as the hub to bring your game schedule, match statistics, ticketing, merchandising and content together in one place.

What is a SaaS service?

As a SaaS, or Software as a Service, we make our platform available on a subscription basis, providing you as the customer with a suite of functionality for the period of time you choose to subscribe. During the course of your contact, we’ll continue to develop and expand our service offering, meaning the functionality that you’ll find on the platform will change over time and as a customer, you can come with ideas and suggestions about the types of features you’d like to see in the future!

Sports-related questions.

Our platform gives you the possibility to present match-related data and statistics to your fans, updated automatically behind-the-scenes. For us to gather and display this data, a statistics integration is usually required, in a process whereby we use a so-called API to “fetch” statistics from your existing sports statistics supplier to be able to display the latest results, scores and insights.

 

What type of sports statistics can I show on my website?

This really depends on the statistics that are collected and made available by your existing sports statistics supplier. But don’t worry, during the contract drafting process, Sportality will investigate and report back exactly what type of data you can expect to display to your fans.


What about if I want to display multiple teams on the same site?

That’s no problem at all! Our club sites are built to handle a multitude of different teams, so if you have a mens, womens and junior team, you’ll have the possibility to present all three on your website whilst benefitting from similar functionality. Better yet, if your different teams are connected to your sports statistics supplier, we can even present data about their performance from their matches. What type of sports-related functionality is available to me on Sportality Platform?

As a SaaS product, the functionality available on Sportality Platform grows and changes over time. We’re always creating and developing new functions and features designed specifically with the needs of sports leagues and clubs in mind.

How are backups handled by Sportality Platform?

We use redundant handling to create several pparallel versions of each piece of data. This means that data remains available in several different places, should a select server be unavailable. Backups are performed continously, everyday and copies are saved for a number of days historically too.

What is an additional service in relation to Sportality Platform?

When you buy a subscription to our platform, you’ll receive a whole host of features and functions to start you off. As your brand and ambitions grow, you’ll then have the possibility to choose from a variety of add-on services, often designed to help you create revenue online, for example, pay-per-view content. These can be bolted on to your contract at additional cost to cover the feature, its support and continued development. We aim to provide additional services at a low cost so that all our partners and customers can make use of them, but different additional services are available for different costs. How is customer data handled by Sportality Platform?

Giving the nature of our product and additional services, its natural that different types of customer data are collected and managed. We use a three-step process for managing this data, connecting first the user to their own account from which we can collect basic data and then connecting the account to different additional services, which generate additional customer data, before thirdly processing the availability customer data to find patterns that allow us to get to know the user and their habits better. This allows us to offer a better service to the customer, and create more opportunities for you to earn income based on your user’s preferences.

In this context, we comply with laws and regulations regarding the handling of personal data, including but not limited to GDPR. In effect, this ensures that the user signs a so-called personal data assistant agreement with the Sportality Platform to enable us to use their data in this way.
